Mentorship For Formerly Incarcerated Musicians

The Music Mentorship Program is dedicated to empowering formerly incarcerated people by providing them with access to an experienced executive producer. This unique initiative offers comprehensive support to facilitate the release of a single or album to the public, including all aspects of songwriting, production, recording, distribution, and marketing. Our goal is to help participants navigate the music industry, express their creativity, and build a successful career.

Program Objectives:

    • Executive Producer Access: Each participant will be paired with a seasoned executive producer who will provide personalized guidance throughout the program. This mentorship will cover all phases of the music release process.

    • Career Coaching: Expert advice on developing a unique artistic vision, understanding industry dynamics, and building a sustainable career in music.

  2. Songwriting and Composition:

    • Creative Workshops: Participate in workshops to refine songwriting skills, develop original material, and create compelling lyrics and melodies.

    • Personalized Feedback: Receive constructive feedback on your compositions from the executive producer to enhance your work.

  3. Production and Recording:

    • Studio Access: Utilize professional recording studios with high-quality equipment to bring your music to life.

    • Production Support: Collaborate with the executive producer on arranging, mixing, and mastering your music to achieve a polished final product.

  4. Distribution and Marketing:

    • Release Strategy: Develop a comprehensive plan for releasing your single or album, including digital distribution to major streaming platforms and physical copies if desired.

    • Marketing Campaign: Work with the executive producer to create a marketing strategy, including social media promotion, press releases, and outreach to media outlets.

  5. Creative Projects:

    • Recording Opportunities: Complete your single or album with professional recording sessions and high-quality production.

    • Showcase Events: Participate in live performances and promotional events to build your audience and gain exposure.
